ArticleSnatch.com Best Practices, Tips and Advice

May 1st, 2010

February 16, 2010 in ArticleSnatch News by ArticleSnatch

Article Marketing can be a challenging task if you don’t keep a few things in mind while doing it. Remember this is not a race and consistency will pay off more in the long run that burst work (i.e. you would be better to submit one article per day, than 30 no and wait a month to submit 30 more).

ArticleSnatch.com has over 800,000 approved articles, and well over 100,000 that aren’t approved. Below you will find some tips to make sure that your articles end up in the approved pile as well as some tips that can help those articles get more traffic.

1) Article Title – the article title is the first thing a viewer sees and has a lot of impact whether or not they click on it. Too short and you have not given the reader enough information, too long and the opposite is true. Aim for 65 to 90 characters and be descriptive about what your article says. If your article is about great vacations, then “great vacation” would be the worst title ever, but “How To Have a Great Vacation With Your Family” might be better.

2) Article Length – often times people ask us how short can an article be, or what is the minimum length of an article. I think those people are looking at the approach of writing articles backwards. Instead write the article to say what you want it to, then stop and check the length. Articles below 250 words (and this might change) are denied automatically. Articles under 300 words are more likely to be removed with less scrutiny. The sweet spot is really closer to 400 or 500 words. But again, don’t add filler to just stuff your article and make it longer.

3) Article KeyWords / Tags – When you submit an article you can put several keywords in the keyword box. It is best to use keywords and keyword phrases with less than 3 words (or 4 words if you have to). Keywords should not include common words (and, or, if, the, to, etc) and they should be descriptive of what the article is actually about. When the topic pages are built, the words in the article tags/keyword section are factored in, but more importantly , the content of the article is also factored in. So tagging an article with google, when its about canon cameras probably wouldn’t be a good idea. Try to find 5 to 7 keyword or keyword phrases that best describe the article.

4) About the Author / Resource Box – These 500 characters at the end of the article are a great place for you to shine. This is the part where you want to write a bit about the author as well as a call to action. 3 properly formatted html links are allowed, and you should always use all three. One of them should be your domain name and with no anchor text – other than the domain name. For example http://www.articlesnatch.com/ would be a good link to include. The reason for this is that if someone decides to use the article on their site and they don’t include your anchor text links (which they are required to), then at least someone reading the article can still contact you.

Nofollow/Dofollow resource box links – this was put in place as part of a plan to recover from a strong Google Filter. But it is by no means permanent, if your account currently has nofollow links in the resource box, and you have submitted more than 5 articles, email webmaster AT articlesnatch DOT com, include the email address on the account and we will be happy to review the account and remove the nofollow. This is in place to discourage fly by night spammers and those looking to promote inappropriate topics on the site, while pushing the better, stronger articles to the top. Since this was implemented, traffic is up, indexing is up, indexing rates are up.

5) Links – Policy used to dictate that links were only allowed in the resource box, however that has changed. Before October 2009, the links in the body of the article were filtered out and not displayed. Now they are allowed. However, stuffing an article with lots of links, would still be a spammy technique and likely would get your account shut down. So while this is allowed and encouraged, it should always be done with the viewer in mind. Ask yourself first, will this help my reader? If not, then don’t include it. The links in the body of the article are currently nofollow and will likely stay that way.

6) Formatting – If you write your articles in Microsoft Word or similar word processor, it would be best if you first copied the article and pasted it into a plain text editor, then copy it again and paste it into ArticleSnatch.com, this will prevent any of the formatting issues caused by Microsoft. MS Word often inserts characters that can’t be properly stored in the database, and this can cause other functions of the site to break. MS Word is also the number one reason why links in the resource box get broken. We are looking to implement a new editor when you submit articles to help fix this issue.

7) Category – picking the right category also improves the likelihood of your desired reader finding the article. Not only are the RSS feeds of each category distributed widely, but it makes it easier for a reader to find what they are looking for. If you are using a software program to submit articles, just double check and make sure that the articles go in the right category. If you fail to pick one, it will be put into the Uncategorized category along with all the other misplaced articles. Additionally when we review your account, if most of your articles are there, we will ask that you fix it.

Out Of Control Voice Broadcasting

April 30th, 2010

March 1, 2010 in ArticleSnatch News by ArticleSnatch

While this post may seem a little off topic here, it is worth noting the call volume we receive from recorded messages left by voice broadcasters. Most of these messages come from people promoting home based businesses, mlm, network marketing, cash gifting, or voice broadcasting itself. Many of them simply want you to buy the same system they are using to “call” and harass you.

Several of them make mention to “scraping” software that crawls through the search results and lifts phone numbers, names and email addresses off of web pages.

It blows my mind every day at how few of these marketers are familiar with the FTC laws. The laws concerning recorded calls, the laws concerning automated email harvesting and the laws concerning the DoNotCall list.

Here a list of a few of the people who have been calling – it seems as though Seattle, WA is the main source of all these calls.

206-337-9022, 206-337-8922, 206-339-0358, 214-614-8164, 270-596-0594, 800-927-8580, 206-339-0687, 206-333-0099, 206-426-0544, 323-386-4756, 206-339-3115, 206-888-5364, 206-337-9266, 206-337-3204, 702-208-7382

That is just a few of the numbers that we have detected these annoying, time wasting calls from.

So pretty much if you are a work from home marketer, pick up the phone and call people. Using these automated voice broadcasting tool playing the same darn recorded message with no way of talking to a live person and a removal system that DOES NOT work at all, just makes you the marketer look terrible.

If you also receive these calls, you can file a complaint against them at the DoNotCall website, as well as make sure you are on the donotcall list, voice broadcasters are supposed to scrub against this list, however it seems, this company doesn’t.

Also, if you get these messages, a lot of them you can “be removed” from their list by pressing 9…

Update 3/29/2010 – More phone numbers
206-339-4237, 206-203-3823, 206-350-1812, 206-338-3481, 270-596-0584, 206-495-6561, 206-339-8475, 888-591-1068, 970-290-0652, 206-202-4842, 623-321-3411, 206-203-2524, 888-675-8796, 206-426-3158, 214-614-8164, 951-262-3309

These messages were mainly for people promoting network marketing, mlm, work from home opportunities of various names and programs.

The Google Duplicate Content Penalty: The Truth Posted By: Peter Nisbet

April 30th, 2010

Writing-and-Speaking

The truth of the Google duplicate content penalty is quite simply that there is none! If that confuses you, then you have been reading too many misinformed forums or blogs where people get stuck on some popular term that they have no idea what it means, and then profess to be experts.

The only experts on the Google duplicate content penalty, and the only people who are qualified to define it, are Google, and in Google’s own words “There is no such thing as a duplicate content penalty”. This comes directly from Google’s Webmaster Central Blog.

That should be the end of this article, at precisely 96 words excluding title as I define my word count. But it is not. Why? Because even though this blog is operated by Google, and even thought much the same has been stated by Matt Cutts, Google’s main software engineer, and other Google experts, people still argue and complain about the Google ‘duplicate content penalty’.

So here is the truth: you might ask who am I to know the truth, but I read all the Google blogs and their official statements, and in applying what I learn I achieve excellent results for my web pages on Google search engine listings: and those of Yahoo, MSN and Bing. So I am coming from a sound base that my results can prove.

As a professional article writer whose customers trust to get them the best results from the articles I write, I have to be very aware of the policies and the way the algorithms work of each of the major search engines, and so I am qualified as anybody to comment on myths such as this.

The Truth of the Google Duplicate Content Penalty

There is no duplicate content penalty. Google’s major search engine function is to offer a customer the best possible results for a search, based upon the search term (keywords) that the customer has used in the Google search box.

Google’s customers are not:

1. You, who use it to get your web pages listed.

2. Adwords advertisers that use Adwords to advertise their products.

3. Corporations or individuals that use it to have their web pages listed.

4. Internet marketers who recommend others to use Google for advertising or searching.

Google’s customers are those are seeking information, whether that is to solve a problem, where to purchase a product at the cheapest price, find a sports result or to get directions to a specific location. Everybody that uses Google uses a search term to find some information that they need. That search term is what you and I refer to as a keyword.

If Google detects several web pages offering exactly the same content, its algorithms will select that which best offers the information required and list that. It might also list one or two other pages offering exactly the same content if there are good reasons for it doing so (e.g. more links to other relevant websites, more other relevant pages on the domain, and so on).

So, not all duplicate content pages will be refused a listing. If these duplicates are articles, then the algorithms that the spiders carry on their backs will take the links from these articles into consideration, the authority of the directory on which it is published, and other factors, before deciding which should be listed. It is wrong to believe that this decision has a chronological factor, but, if you include a link in your article Resource section to your web page that contains the same article, then your page is liable to be listed above the others, partially because of a greater number of links back to it from the other copies, and partially because your entire site is liable to be more relevant than these others to information being sought by Google’s customer.

This is not because yours was created first, but because it better meets Google’s criterion for authoritative back-links. However, if the rest of your website is not equally authoritative, your page might be listed behind another with the same content or even not listed at all.

All of this is designed by Google so that its customer is offered the most relevant range of results to the keywords they used. That is what Google is for, and is its ultimate objective. Google will not penalize any individual or any website for publishing what you refer to as ‘duplicate content’, and it will take your version into consideration for publication just as any other version.

What counts in the long run is which version Google’s algorithms believe to be most likely to offer the best possible information to the person seeking it, and if that means not publishing a whole host of duplicate information, then that is only fair, isn’t it? If you used Google to find some information, you wouldn’t want to find page after page saying exactly the same thing, would you?

No, and neither does Google. A Google listing comes from its indexing of billions of web pages that contain the keywords used by the searcher: both in relation to the entire phrase and to the individual words used in the search term. If you want your copy to be different, make some minor changes and perhaps change the form of the keywords, but most importantly, change the title and the introductory paragraph to which the crawlers will take special notice.

You then have a better chance of your version being listed along with some of the others, but remember: the next time you use the term ‘duplicate content’ you are using a term that does not exist in Google’s vocabulary for any reason than to deny its existence. The Google Duplicate Content Penalty does not exist: the truth!

Four Tips For A Spell-binding Beginning Posted By: Cindy A Christiansen

April 29th, 2010

Writing-and-Speaking

There’s nothing more important than a perfectly written beginning. It is necessary to grab the attention of the reader and hook them so they won’t put your book down.

You can accomplish a great beginning with four easy tips:

1. Establish who, what, when, where and why.

2. Ascertain what kind of story you are writing.

3. Let the reader care about the character(s).

4. Set the tone of your book from the beginning.

Let’s take a closer look:

1. ESTABLISH WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE AND WHY.

Fiction writing is no different from any other writing. You must answer all of the “w” questions right up front as much on the first page as possible without being obvious. Let’s look at each one:

WHO: Give the character’s name right up front to establish from whose point-of-view (POV) the story is being told. In first-person that is “I”. In third-person you want the name to reflect the time period, the personality of the character, and the tone of your book. Determine the best name to get your reader to understand your character.

In my current work in progress, my heroine’s name is Lizzie Cantrell. I point out in the story that Lizzie is not short for Elizabeth but that her mother named her after Lizzie in the play, Rainmaker. She is an artist looking for adventure. The hero, however, is Phillip E. Van Dyke. He insists that his employees call him Mr. Van Dyke, and if they call him Phil, he is extremely upset. Seriously injured, he is determined to keep people from getting too close. By having everyone use his formal name, he believes he can keep his emotions locked away.

Choosing the right name can greatly impact how your readers relate to your characters.

WHAT: In order to create a relationship between your character and the reader, you need to give clues about what the character hopes to gain or lose based on their goals. In the story above, Phillip keeps pulling up his turtle-neck. I suggest there is something wrong, but I don’t give it all away yet. You need to suggest what is going to happen and make the reader curious to find out.

WHERE AND WHEN: Let the reader know up front in as little detail as possible where your book is taking place and what time period. You don’t have to state the precise date, however that works in some cases. In contemporary novels, any detail about modern conveniences is usually sufficient. For a historical, use something that signifies the time like an event, war, invention, etc.

WHY: Again we don’t want to give the story away, but this is where you reveal what drives your character and why. You just need to give a clue as to why they are pursuing what they are to let the reader know more is to come.

This may sound complicated but it’s not. Here is an example from “A Novel Approach” by Kathy Jacobson that shows all of this important information in just a few short sentences:

Liz had nothing against sleeping with men, but she never again wanted to be married to one. After three years of freedom, even Jeff’s wealth didn’t look like a good trade-off. She smiled at him across the breakfast table and handed back the diamond ring she’d almost cracked a tooth on.

“It was clever of you to hide this in my muffin, but I really can’t accept it.”

Here’s the summation: Who – Liz. What – she’s declining a marriage proposal. Where – her breakfast table. When – three years after her divorce. Why – she prefers her freedom over wealth. Everything in one neat little paragraph. Wow!

2. ASCERTAIN WHAT KIND OF STORY YOU ARE WRITING.

The next important part of a beginning is starting with an important action when the character’s life changes. A good resource for understanding this is Orson Scott Card’s MICE quotient taken from his book, “Characters and Viewpoints”. This will affect your beginning in different ways. For MILIEU it would be when the character enters the new environment. If you are writing an IDEA story, you want to start with something that affects the question being asked. For a CHARACTER story, you would focus on the character’s emotional reason for taking an action. With an EVENT story, you begin with the event that pushes the character into a new adventure.

Don’t start your book with the character’s back story. Begin with the circumstances that changes the character’s life. Back story is very important and can be added throughout the book in interesting ways, but starting out with the character’s life story is boring to the reader and you will lose them.

You do, however, want to have your character performing some natural task to make your reader identify with them. Then take them on the journey. If you throw them into the middle of the action too quickly, the reader is confused about what is happening, who the character is, or why they should even care.

3. LET THE READER CARE ABOUT THE CHARACTER(S).

Make sure you give the reader a reason to relate or like your character. You can accomplish this by making sure your character has goals and their reasons for their choices are clearly stated, especially that first scene. Make sure your scenes are well thought out according to POV. Remember that if you switch POV you lose the tension in the scene. It is important to stay with the opening character long enough for the reader to bond with them.

4. SET THE TONE OF YOUR BOOK FROM THE VERY BEGINNING.

Choosing your genre will help determine the tone of your book. Is it suspenseful, humorous, or gory? Your writing needs to reflect that. Even your synopsis should reflect the tone of your book. The editor needs to know you can project the same tone that the book will be written in.

Well, that’s it. It sounds simple enough and really it is. It takes some thought and practice, but it can be done. Given these four tips, you will write a book that will hook your readers and keep them turning pages. Good luck.

Teaching Article Writing – Guidelines That New Article Writers Need To Know Posted By: Gen Wright

April 29th, 2010

Writing-and-Speaking

1. Know and understand your readers. This is very important. You see, you will not be able to produce articles that are focused and targeted unless you know and fully understand the needs and demands of your target audience. So, get to know these people on a deeper level before you start tapping on your keyboard.

2. Enhance your writing skills. With a lot of people who are sinking their teeth in the field of article writing these days, it’s important that you have something different to offer to get ahead of them. It will help you develop high level writing skills. You can do this by hiring a mentor, by practicing regularly, and by attending writing seminars from time to time.

3. Learn SEO writing techniques. This is a must since you’re using your articles over the internet. Learn how you can make your articles search engine-friendly. Don’t worry as this isn’t difficult as it may sound. Just read relevant articles and ebooks. Then, learn SEO writing techniques and apply them each time you tap on your keyboard.

4. Make your titles explosive. Learn the ropes of writing very effective titles. It’s very important that you can capture the attention of your target audience otherwise, your articles will remain unread no matter how informative they are.

5. Start strong. Get you audience on the edge of their seats and keep them interested by making your first paragraph very explosive and meaty. You can do this by putting all the essential information including trade secrets and insider tips on this part.

6. Always offer valuable content. If you think that you will excel in this field without exerting conscious effort in putting together great content, you are wrong. You see, before you can get the kind of response that you need from your readers, you need to impress them first. There is no other way to do that than giving them high quality articles. Offer these people with nothing but useful and unique information. Then, give them great reading experience by writing your articles using conversational tone and by inserting healthy humor from time to time.

7. Keep it short. If you’ve researched your target market, you’ll know that these people are usually pressed for time. To serve them well, make sure that your articles are short, tight, and concise. These people do not need to spend several minutes or hours reading your articles just to get the kind of information that they are looking for.

8. Make it scannable. You just got to believe me when I say that online users will love your articles more if you make them easy to skim through. So, break down your content into several but short paragraphs. Use subheadings all the time. You can also list down your ideas using numbers or bullet list. If permitted, highlight the most important information that you’re giving out so your target audience will easily find them.

9. Proofread your articles. Do not even think about posting your articles online without reviewing them. Remember, they represent you and your business in the online arena. So, ensure that they’re perfect.

Remarriage- A New Hope Towards A New Life Posted By: Gurleen Kaur

April 28th, 2010

Marriage-Wedding

Remarriage is not a sin, it is a way to restart and give a new beginning, a new hope for an altogether new and cheerful life.

Marriage is a term which corresponds to life time bonding and relationship shared between the bride and groom. It is the only relation, which has the power to bond a couple together for the rest of their lives. Of course, the basis and the most important foundation stones of this bond are love, trust, affection and understanding. These are also known as the four pillars of a strong and a long lived marriage. These are the factors, in Indian marriages, which tie the bond of bride and the groom as husband and wives for seven lives.

In the earlier days, even after the death of the husband, the bride was supposed to live all her life alone and independently. The point of independency is not an issue, these days, almost every girl is independent and earning her own living. Even in some cases, she is the one, who supports the living of her whole family, may be as a daughter, as a wife or as a daughter- in- law. The concept of remarriage was considered as the biggest sins of ones life in the earlier days, or we say in the old India. Loads of restrictions and outrageous thoughts were imposed on life of the widow and were left to lead life in a miserable situation. According to the orthodox believes of the people, the life of the women ends with the life of her husband, and after that she has no right to lead a happy and cheerful life. With the changing times and the increasing awareness in the society, people have become educated and have to a certain extent adopted the changes which are required to make in the orthodox thoughts and rituals. The belief that the life is to live and every human being irrespective of their gender and marital status is authorised to live a happy life, have started being implemented by people in their lives.

Today, the Indian society has been well equipped with all the modern thoughts and reforms which are required to make a modern and a developmental society. People have understood the importance of remarriage in the lives of the groom as well as the bride. Both have the rights to start their life all over again, if somehow his life partner dies due to some mishappenings. It is purely the choice of the person whether he wants to remarry or not, but if he wants then according to the laws today, no one can stop him from doing that. The concept of remarriage needs to be promoted among the citizens of India, because there are many people who still think that it is a sin and de-motivate their children from doing so. They should understand that the fact, that marrying once again, will not mark any sin in the lives of their children, but it will prove to be a new beginning for their happy life.

Remarriage after the death of the ex- partner is something which is required to have a healthy life. But these days, the longetivity of the relation is getting affected by the western culture and the new ideologies formed by the younger generation of the country. People these days, even divorce or remarry, due to the unsatisfactory or irritational behaviour of their partner. Marriage according to Indian values is a very auspicious and sacred bond shared between the husband and wife, and breaking this bond due to small misunderstanding or loud behaviour is no solution. This will in turn affect the seriousness of the wedding as a bond, so one should put in all the possible efforts to sustain their marriage, because misunderstanding can be cleared off but if once the relation breaks, it cannot be fixed with a fevicol or fevi stick. That is why; marriages are often marked with the tag of handle with care.

Complete Your Look With A Beautiful Wedding Veil Posted By: Diego

April 28th, 2010

Marriage-Wedding

From the moment a woman accepts a mans request for her hand in marriage, the thought of what her wedding dress is going to look like begins to dance in the back of

her mind. There is no doubt that finding the right wedding dress is important. But, in reality it is only one part of a larger ensemble.

The fact is that there will be other opportunities in a womans life to wear a big gorgeous dress. This isnt to play down the importance of a wedding dress. Its just that it

wont be the last time the bride wears a dress. It may, however, be the last time she wears a veil.

For most women, this is the one day of her life that she will be wearing a veil. Of course she could travel in a time machine back to the 1930s, have her prized jewels

stolen, and need to hire a sleazy private detective to track them down. In that case you might wear a short, sultry veil to his office. Otherwise, your wedding day is your

one and only chance.

Here are a few different types of veils and examples of each that will make your wedding day truly special.

Blusher Veil

A blusher veil is meant to accompany a longer veil in the back, leaving something easier for the father of the bride or for the groom to flip back at the appropriate point in

the ceremony.

The Bridal Russian Net Facial Blusher Veil is made of lovely netting which is available in either ivory or white. It extends to just above the chin and looks fantastic with an

accompanying piece of headwear such as a flower.

For an impressive 1950s Hollywood look you cant go wrong with the Bridal Headband with Russian Tulle. The netting is also available in Ivory and White. One of the

best features of this veil is that since it is attached with a simple headband it can be shifted to your pleasing. Leave it straight on or cock it slightly to the side for a hipper

look. It can also be turned around backwards for the reception, and it looks just as lovely that way.

Short Veil

Short veils are light and comfortable. They add a modern flair to an outfit.

The Bridal Short Veil Two Tier with Bubble Hem is a striking combination of new and old. The two-tiered effect gives it additional volume when it is flipped back.

If you are wearing a strapless dress, the Short Veil, 1 Tier with Scalloped Edge and Beaded Flowers looks fantastic when it lies on bare shoulders. Despite being a single

tier, the ornamental flowers that line the edge of this veil, along with the scalloped edge, give it a full and dense appearance.

Elbow Length Veil

These veils are still relatively easy to wear and match most gown styles.

The Elbow Length Veil, 1 tier with Metallic Pencil Edge and Beaded Vine Motif has a delicate and sensitive feel. The vine detail winds around the edges of this veil adding

an extra level of texture. The single-tiered effect makes the veil more see-through and lends itself toward a more striking profile.

Fingertip Veil

Long and flowing without being overly burdensome, veils that extend to a brides fingertips are sure to make an impression.

The single tier and delicate lace edging on the Fingertip Length Mantilla Veil will make a bride look like a lovely fair maiden. The lace appliqu edge is also adorned with

luxurious pearls.

luxurious pearls.

Adding a colorful accent to your outfit is easy with the Apple Lace Veil with Apple Ribbon Edge. This veil is two-tiered and has a dazzling edge of apple-colored satin.

This veil is the perfect way for the bride to add even more pizzazz to a colorful fall wedding.

Chapel / Cathedral Veil

When most people think veil, this is what they picture. Cathedral veils flow all the way to the floor and enhance the brides silhouette.

The Chapel Length Veil with Pencil edge goes gorgeously with every gown. At nearly 90 inches long, just imagine how it will look, blowing in the wind as you and your

husband run out of the ceremony, rice flying and friends laughing and cheering. This veil attaches with a wire comb and is available in ivory or white.

For a fuller look, consider something like the Cathedral Length Veil, 3 Tiers with Pencil Edge and scattered Rhinestones. Rather than just sitting nearly flat on your head,

the three-tiered design allows the veil to billow out of your hair and flow across your shoulders and down your back. Pencil edging and rhinestones littered throughout give

this veil even more depth.

When planning for a wedding, nothing is more important to a bride than finding the right dress. But when you are checking off the details leading up to your wedding day,

take some extra time when it comes to the veil. It is that one extra accessory that will give you an unexplainable hint of glamour. It is what makes a bride a bride.

Many people that regularly use the Internet are affected by nagging fear that online transactions are not safe and that anybody can easily steal your credit card information. However, it would be foolish to let these unreasonable fears prevent you from transacting over the Internet because many times it is perfectly safe to transact online.

The fact is that today fraud protection is readily available and more particularly it is really quite easy to be saved from becoming a victim of identity theft. It would therefore pay to learn about how credit card issuers as well as merchants (online) ensure that you are safe when doing online transactions.

Peace of Mind

Understanding what fraud protection is and what measures can be taken can help to assure you of enjoying considerable peace of mind and to also help you overcome your fears of identity theft and other kinds of frauds. The first fraud protection measure that credit card companies take is to verify your address, especially your billing address and to also ascertain what your age is as well as verifies identity of the credit card holder at the time that the transaction is being completed.

Another fraud protection measure commonly used by online merchants is that of conducting all transactions with the help of a technology known as Secure Socket layer that essentially prevents computer hackers from hacking into your credit card details. Secure Socket layers use encryption in order to move your details (credit card) from one location to another.

However, as good as these fraud protection measures are; they are not absolutely foolproof, and in the end, it is up to users to ensure that they act responsibly as well as safely so that they do not become victims to fraudulent means. The best fraud protection measure is to always remain alert and to go as far as to ensure that even your trash does not contain your credit card information because fraudsters will stoop to any levels (including going through your trash) to get hold of your personal and private details.

However, if you follow basic fraud protection measures including filing your financial records properly and not visiting sites that are dubious as well as making sure that you get regular reports from your banks; you can prevent fraud.

There are also certain questions you need to ask you including finding out what is identity theft and once you have obtained suitable answers you can then act in a way so as to prevent being victimized by identity thieves. The consequences of identity theft are very serious and unless you take fraud protection measures well in time, you could easily join the list of millions of others who have been defrauded by unscrupulous scammers and fraudsters and also pay a very heavy price.

It is an unfortunate fact of life that some of us have will have better choice of legal services than others. Where we live plays a large part in how many law firms are within a realistic distance. And just how far will we need to travel? It is obviously going to be a whole lot easier to find a solicitor for people who are living in a city than those whose homes are in a quiet rural area. You don’t get a great deal of law firms who are based in the middle of a village.

However, the good news is that a large town or city will usually have a good selection of solicitors for you to choose from. So, after your journey there, you are probably going to be spoilt for choice. If you do have to travel for a good few miles then at least you can be picky about which firm you use.

The best way to go about finding lawyers who are suitable for your particular problem is to have a look online. By visiting a few different websites you can quickly narrow down your search by finding out if a solicitor has sufficient expertise in your relevant legal area. Say, for example, if you were living in a rural part of Yorkshire and your nearest city was Leeds; all you would need to do would be to type, solicitors in Leeds into Google. You can be sure there would be a great many results to look through and from here you could further narrow your search.

There are all kinds of different legal problems and it is important to find someone with the right type of expertise. For instance, you would not do your, solicitors in Leeds search and then pick out a firm who specialise in child custody if your problem is employment related! Solicitors are like trades people and often concentrate on a certain legal area. Just the same as plumbers do not fit windows and joiners are not qualified to rewire your home.

Any law firms should have plenty of information on their web pages. You will be able to see exactly what type of cases they specialise in and how much experience they have. After all, you do not want to head off and meet up with someone just to find it is only their second week in the job… Some legal companies will also give you a list of their recent work. Obviously they cannot divulge personal information, but they can give you an idea of what each case centred around. You may even come across something similar to your own circumstances on this type of page.

Of course, you could just drive into Leeds and have a look around for yourself or leaf through your Yellow Pages; but using the internet to find a suitable solicitor is by far the easiest option. Your, ’solicitors Leeds’ search on Google could end up saving you a considerable amount of time and effort.
